By "Outlook" do you mean Outlook Express (OE) which is part of Internet Explorer or
Outlook97/98/2000+ which is part of Office? And which version? (If you don't know, in
your mail program select Help, About.)
If you use Start, Run, MSCONFIG and look at the Startup tab, you'll find programs that are
started from the registry as well.
It could also be started from another program. For example, if you have some connection
manager software from your ISP, some of these have the option to automatically start
selected programs whenever your Internet connection is made.

Can someone tell me how to stop outlook launching at startup. I have looked in the
startup file in program files and there is no outlook icon there....
Thanks
