Thanks

By "Outlook" do you mean Outlook Express (OE) which is part of Internet Explorer or
Outlook97/98/2000+ which is part of Office? And which version? (If you don't know, in
your mail program select Help, About.)

If you use Start, Run, MSCONFIG and look at the Startup tab, you'll find programs that are
started from the registry as well.

It could also be started from another program. For example, if you have some connection
manager software from your ISP, some of these have the option to automatically start
selected programs whenever your Internet connection is made.

Yes I did, but I couldnt see OE6 as one of the startup items. I thought by
un-checking msn msgr that could of done the trick, but it didnt work.

Any other suggestions?

Look for msimn. The executable for OE is msimn.exe
Couldnt find msimn.

So ive tried Start | Run | nsconfig , and there is no OE icon in the startup
file in program files.

Do you think the problem could be another program I am running is causing it
to launch? Such as AVG anti virus software...
