On one of my networked PC's at home I suddenly cannot connect to my
mail server. My internet connection is fine, and I can surf with no
problem whatsoever. I rebooted a couple of times and it did not help. I
usually use outlook express, so I tried reinstalling it, and that did
not help. I tried using Outlook and it could not connect either. The
smtp server is using port 25 and the pop server is using port 110. I
tried turning off my firewall and antivirus and that did not help.

So I went over to another computer and added a new mail account with my
connection info. It worked fine!

So, it is obviously something on my computer. But quite frankly, I
don't know what else to try! Any suggestions would be MOST appreciated!

How do you connect?
Dialup? Cable Modem, Home network, Company network?

I connect via cable modem... Brighthouse Road Runner through a NetGear
RP114 router. I've had this configuration for a couple of years with no
problems and nothing has recently changed. Again, I can surf the
internet from a browser just fine, but mail clients can neither send
nor receive anything.
