If you've set Outlook Express to share the Outlook Contacts, then any
import/export needs to be done in Outlook.
What version of Outlook? It should be able to export to CSV. That
option has been there since Outlook97.

Post by StvyLifehey thanks. but my address book won't export because is is really merged
with outlook. and Outlook would only export pst files. But I keep looking to
see what I can find.
yeah the spread sheet would be a good option to manually do it. I just wish
that there was something that could simplify the process by combining
possible contact; with promp of course, drag and drop e.t.c
Post by Michael SantovecYou can export the Outlook Express address book to a CSV (Comma
Separated Values) text file. Any word processor, database or
spreadsheet program can read that.
Sorting would be easy. Merging can be tricky. Unless you have entries
that are exact duplicates, you may need to take some data from one
record and some from another. That pretty much needs to be a manual
operation to decide which data is best or more current.

Post by StvyLifecan i export my address book into any database program that could
sort
out
and remove or combine dublicate names in my addressbook.
is there any utility out there that can help me in merging my duplicate
contacts. I imported my old address book and it seem like it was
not
too
successful in combining some of my address.
I hate to do it manually. I need a utility that could help me in
the
cross
checking and merge detected duplicate with ease.
anyone seen such or am I wishing?
thanks
Steve
