IE8 Passwords

For some reason IE8 refuses to save web site passwords. Is there some
paramater other the INprivate that must be set. I'm not surfing using
inprivate on blocking of any sort that I'm aware of. I continually check
"save password" options at various web site but upon every return to the same
site I'm again asked to enter my password again.

I agree...this is a big problem for me...At some sites the 'save password'
prompt appears, while at others, it does not..this is despite checking the
prompt to save password option and not being in Inprivate mode. Please tell
us how to resolve this. Thanks
