Discussion:
Outlook Express 6 Address Book
(too old to reply)

When I select a name in OE and click "To" only the id is shown.
Ex: jdoe51. No domain name is shown. How do I get OE to show
***@bellsouth.net? The address is correct; but it just doesn't show
the domain portion.

Thanks Paul

OE only shows the "friendly name". If you want OE to show the full
e-mail address, then you need to put that as part of the Name field in
the address book.

Michael,

I tried putting the e-mail address into the Name field but it cuts off
before fitting the whole e-mail address in. Am I missing something?

How long of an e-mail address do you have? It should be able to handle
any reasonably long address

The fields scroll. So you can put in a lot more than you can see at one
time. I just tested an put in an e-mail address well over 75 characters
long.
